About Us

Melbourne Indian chef and Hospitality lecturer Daman Shrivastav has been supporting the needy for over 10 years, cooking meals weekly from his home.

Now in lockdown he has been inspired to create a cooking show called DDs Kitchen. Daman alongside his 8 year old daughter Diya passionately work to inspire kids and families in lockdown to cook and also to teach his daughter about helping those in need.

The food from the cooking show is distributed by this daddy and daughter duo three times a week from their home to help Melbourne’s forgotten international students and the homeless during this Melbourne in COVID lockdown.

With international students and homeless people finding themselves in very dire circumstances in a lockdown Melbourne, DDs Kitchen has become a beacon of hope for a lot of these people and hopes with your help to feed even more!

Mission and Vision

DDs Kitchen is working to eliminate hunger and improve the health and well-being of our community through access to healthy and nutritious foods through community service channels.

We envision a community where everyone has access to good quality, nutritious food, understands the consequences of hunger and poor nutrition and is committed to creating a stronger, healthier Australian community.

We believe in engaging the community and involving those we serve in finding solutions to eliminate food insecurity.

We recognize the dignity of all people and believe food is an essential basic right.

We believe hunger can be eliminated and community can contribute tostay stronger to any challenges faced.
